My name is Jente Ploos van Amstel, artist and illustrator based in Drenthe, The Netherlands.
I’ve loved being in nature ever since I was a young child. So, it is no wonder that my artworks are inspired by its beauty.
My work aims to bring more attention to nature, and to stimulate its recognition by people so they can see its true value.

Discover the Process
In my artworks I want to capture the beauty of nature. To achieve this, I use sand as a medium because of it’s amazing colours and pigments.
Most of the sand I use for my paintings is dug from my own garden!
